Amore Rose Bleeding Heart is an herbaceous perennial with a mounded form. It brings an extremely fine and delicate texture to the garden composition and should be used to full effect.

Ornamental Qualities

Amore Rose Bleeding Heart features delicate nodding rose heart-shaped flowers dangling from the stems from mid spring to late summer, which emerge from distinctive red flower buds. Its ferny compound leaves remain bluish-green in color throughout the season. The burgundy stems can be quite attractive.

Planting and Growing

Amore Rose Bleeding Heart will grow to be about 9 inches tall at maturity extending to 14 inches tall with the flowers, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for approximately 10 years. As an herbaceous perennial, and will regrow from the base each spring. Be careful not to disturb the crown in late winter when it may not be readily seen! As this plant tends to go dormant in summer, individual plants should be spaced approximately 12 inches apart. Its foliage tends to remain low and dense right to the ground.
